American group Girls have shocked fans with their new video, and now the actor who strips down has spoken about his role in the promo.
Girls are one of the most outrageous bands around. Having crafted an album of filthy rock thrills, the band then decided to release it as ‘Album’. However the de-constructive joke was on them as Public Image Limited had pulled the same stunt over two decades before!
Live, the band are a whirlwind of energy. A recent British tour saw Girls win fans across the country, before releasing their shocking new video.
Featuring full frontal shots of a San Francisco musician being pleasured by his boyfriend, ‘Lust For Life’ has already been banned by most media outlets.
Now Hunx, of Hunx And His Punx, has spoken about his role in the video. Speaking to the NME the Californian punk star claims that he agreed to star in the video after spotting the director.
“The director Aaron Brown is really hot,” he explained. “Like a super good looking Jewish fox. He told me he wanted to make videos for my band so I was intrigued. Then I got a call from my boyfriend and he told me that Aaron wanted to film us ‘getting sexy’. I didn’t even know it was for a Girls video ’til I got to the shoot.”
Apparently this isn’t the first time the singer has decided to strip naked. “I was naked in BUTT magazine and also one of my band’s singles, for ‘You Don’t Like Rock N Roll’, it has a scratch-off cover… if you scratch it you can see my boner!”
Hunx was also quick to praise Girls for their success. “I had a feeling that Girls would be big ‘cos Christopher (Owens) is dreamy in a Macaulay Culkin sibling kind of culty way. And he’s a really sweet guy.”
Girls’ single ‘Lust For Life’ is out soon.
