Fizzing, cracking, sparking with new ideas, each show from Girl Band seems to be an exercise in projected menace.
Based in Dublin, the band's sound – industrial tones, post-punk rhythms and bass lines to die for – has cut a swathe through a guitar scene largely devoid of such passion.
Releasing a small selection of tracks, Girl Band have now penned a deal with Rough Trade. Plans are afoot, but for now the group are only able to confirm a pair of live shows.
Catch the Irish band at the Old Blue Last in London on January 27th and at The Speakeasy in Belfast on February 7th.
