The third annual Gimme Shelter Rock & Rescue event is set to take place in New York on October 6th, with a line up that includes Debbie Harry, Adam Green and many more.
Hosted by the ever-charitable Ad-Rock of Beastie Boys fame, as well as actress Gina Gershno, Gimme Shelter aims to raise money for animal charities in New York. Produced in association with Rational Animal and ASPCA, the event aims to end the euthanasia of healthy and treatable animals in the city’s shelters.
Blondie star Debbie Harry will headline alongside now solo Mouldy Peach Adam Green. The line up also includes Lissy Trullie, Jesse Malin, Goonsquad and Earl Greyhound. DJ sets will be provided by Moby and JD Samson of Le Tigre.
Gimme Shelter takes place on October 6th in the Highline Ballroom in Chelsea, New York.
