Ghostpoet and Mike Skinner have collaborated on a new track for the RizLab project.
Uniting artists working in different disciplines, RizLab launched earlier this year with a performance from Jamie xx and Quayola. Since then, Friendly Fires have worked with a hand picked crew of electronic producers, with Ghostpoet and The Streets’ Mike Skinner the next in line to collaborate.
Stepping aside from The Streets, Mike Skinner recently unveiled his new project The D.O.T. with Rob Harvey. Recently parting company with The Music, the vocalist has been working with the Brum producer on some fresh tracks.
Taking time out from The D.O.T. the pair hooked up with Mercury nominee Ghostpoet. A natural fit, Ghostpoet and Mike Skinner have two different styles but share an observation on the poetic sense running through everyday life.
Thrown into the studio together, the trio emerged with a brand new track titled ‘Trouble’. Alongside this, Ghostpoet and Mike Skinner are working on an unusual new video – more on which will be unveiled soon…
As a short preview, RizLab have smuggled out some footage of the trio hard at work in the studio. Watch the clip below…
