Ghostpoet is set to release new single ‘Liiines’ through Brownswood on September 5th.
If you’ve got the talent, nothing can hold you back. Beginning the year as an unknown British rapper, Ghostpoet has rightfully earned widespread acclaim with his debut album ‘Peanut Butter Blues & Melancholy Jam’.
With material spread across some tiny labels, Gilles Peterson’s imprint stepped in to supply some muscle. The production is deft, keeping the tempos slow and allowing Ghostpoet’s voice to come to the fore.
The rapper’s rhymes tend to focus on everyday life, but with a poetic sense of melancholy that makes each observation seem special. A highly unique release, Ghostpoet’s debut album seems to gain more fans each week.
New single ‘Liiines’ is set to drop on September 5th. Taken from the rapper’s new album the track will be the final single to be drawn from ‘Peanut Butter Blues & Melancholy Jam’.
Backed by a vivid new video, ‘Liiines’ is set to gain a handful of remixes. Amongst the producers confirmed for the single is Manchester bass guru XXXY, with more details due shortly.
