The first trailer has emerged from Martin Scorcese’s George Harrison biopic ‘Living In The Material World’.
Known as ‘the quiet Beatle’ George Harrison often struck an introverted figure onstage. The youngest member of the Fab Four, he emerged as one of the strongest songwriters of his generation.
Responsible for classics such as ‘Something’ and ‘While My Guitar Gently Weeps’ the guitarist also experimented with Indian culture. Playing the sitar on Beatles records, George Harrison was also pivotal in the introduction of Eastern religion to the broad cross section of Western society.
Later embarking on a solo career, George Harrison released the triple LP ‘All Things Must Pass’ in 1970. Continuing to make new music, the guitarist also became a notable investor in British cinema as well as a major charitable benefactor.
Sadly passing away in 2001, George Harrison’s life story is set to be told in the forthcoming biopic ‘Living In The Material World’. The musician’s widow Olivia Harrison agreed to allow Martin Scorcese to tell the guitarist’s life story, allowing the film maker access to countless unseen photographs and film footage.
