George FitzGerald has shared his new song ‘Venera’.
The London based producer’s 2022 album ‘Stellar Drifting’ was a riveting return, one that seemed to encapsulate his singular approach. He follows this with a new EP, a selection of unreleased cuts slated to land next month.
Out on June 9th, ‘Not As I’ gently pushes the fringes, with George FitzGerald introducing some new aspects to his methodology. New song ‘Venera’ is online now, it’s patchwork feel drawn from numerous experimentations – gently pieced together, it draws on the energy of his modular synth jams, while also enacted a rugged form of structure.
Nodding to club tropes, it dips back into his early 12 inch releases, while also separating itself from expectations. George FitzGerald writes…
“Venera brings together loads of different facets of my sound,” George explains. “It’s a collage of lots of modular synth jams, mangled vocals and electronic drums, all combined with percussion, horns and piano from my live band. I was thinking a lot about my earliest 12” releases and trying to capture some of that immediacy and mix with it what I’ve learned along the way.”
Tune in now.
