Gently Tender Share Storming New Single ‘Some Hard Advice’

Featuring members of Parma Violets and The Big Moon...

London indie project Gently Tender have shared storming new single 'Some Hard Advice'.

The band formed from the ashes of Palma Violets, with Sam Fryer, Pete Mayhew and Will Doyle bolstered by The Big Moon’s Celia Archer on keyboards and guitarist Adam Brown.

Debut single '2 Chords Good' was a minimalist delight, and the group storm into 2019 with new single 'Some Hard Advice'.

The swirling guitar arrangement has a slight 60s feel, but its been given a torn 'n' tattered DIY twist, one that lets the vocals scream out.

A song that speaks about the bonds between people, it was actually prompted by an apocalyptic report from Hawaii.

Sam explains: “I was reading the news last year and a story caught my attention of how the island of Hawaii went into crisis and panic when everyone received an accidental text message to say that a missile was heading in their direction and they should take cover. The song is about that moment of realisation – the prospect of dying without your loved ones.”

Tune in now.
