Genesis Owusu Cross-Pollinates Genre Codes On ‘STRUGGLER’

It's his remarkable new album...

Genesis Owusu has shared his new album ‘STRUGGLER’ in full.

The songwriter’s remarkable breadth allows for some superb multi-genre creativity, cross-pollinating different sounds to achieve his goal. Marked by his singular vision, ‘STRUGGLER’ was actually highly collaborative in nature, with Genesis opening up as never before.

Out now, it’s a record that moves from post-punk experimentation and garage rock attack through to soulful vibrancy, never staying in the same place for too long.

In a note, Genesis Owusu comments:

“THE STRUGGLER RUNS THROUGH AN ABSURD WORLD WITH NO ‘WHERE’ OR ‘WHY’ AT HAND. JUST AN INSTINCTUAL INNER RHYTHM, YELLING AT THEM TO SURVIVE THE PESTILENCE AND LIGHTING BOLTS COMING FROM ABOVE. A ROACH JUST KEEPS ROACHING.”

Catch Genesis Owusu at London’s Heaven on November 15th.

Tune in now.
