Montreal producer Gayance has shared new burner ‘Nunca Mais’.
The club figure has deep Haitian heritage, and Gayance is fluent in Haitian Creole, Portuguese, and English. Drawing her identity from several sources, this fluidity is partly what attracts her to electronic music – the ability to shape rules to your own ends.
Out now, ‘Nunca Mais’ features Gayance in full flow, with the producer linking up with Rhythm Section on the release. It’s a superb house-drenched bubbler, with the musician’s unique touch lighting ‘Nunca Mais’ up with the colour.
Work on the track absorbed her fascination with Brazilian culture, while additional programming came from Dutch/Amsterdam producer, LAZA.

This song was made at a moment when I was starting to set my boundaries in regard to how I was being treated by people who had patriarchal values. It’s a freestyle made on a song I’ve co-produced with Amsterdam-based artist LAZA (United Identities, Stamp The Wax).
In my freestyle, I sing with my heart in Haitian Creole, Portuguese, and English. For me, the only way to truly express emotions is by being multilingual. A reality I have as a Montreal born.
