Former Clashmusic.com ‘Track of the Day’ artists Gang Gang Dance have claimed in a new interview that they are working on a double album.
The New York group have generated a buzz around them with their unique take on indie rock – with tribal drumming and slashing guitars the band are difficult to ignore. Subtly titled debut album ‘Revival Of The Shittest’ dropped in 2004, and since then Gang Gang Dance have been virtual workaholics.
New album ‘Saint Dymphna’ was released earlier this year, but the band are already planning a follow up. “We are recording what will most likely be a double album in January… in the desert… very excited. A concept record without a concept.
He added: “Dunno when the new record will surface… probably in summer I would imagine.”
Gang Gang Dance are currently touring North America.
