Gabriels have laid out plans for debut album ‘Angels & Queens’.
The LA group meld classic soul, gospel, and R&B with a modern outlook, infusing these vintage song structures with daring new elements. Live, Gabriels are a stunning proposition, and their recent set at Glastonbury was one of the weekend’s most celebrated.
Gabriels have decided on ambition plans for their debut album, with ‘Angels & Queens’ set to be released in two parts. Produced by fellow Compton-native producer Sounwave – who credits include Kendrick Lamar – the first part of the record lands on September 30th.
Gabriels comment…
“Our debut album ‘Angels & Queens’ is a unique exploration of love and loss from each of our differing perspectives. We were planning to release our album next year, but got the opportunity to collaborate with some of the most amazing people who initially were strangers, but within weeks became family in the most mind blowing process.
“As the first part of the album was recorded, we knew we wanted to share it with you as soon as possible. We couldn’t be more excited to announce that Angels & Queens – Part I is coming this September, and Part II will follow in March. THANK YOU Sounwave and Beach Noise.”
The title track is online now, driven forwards by Jacob Lusk’s stunning vocal and the daring arrangement.
