Spanish and African-American artist Gabriela Richardson has shared her first single of the year, ‘Verde Oscura’.
Co-produced with Lewis OfMan, Richardson ropes in Rejjie Snow for dose of sunlit reminiscence. The Spanglish ‘Verde Obscura’ was born from a jam session with Daniel Ceasar on the island of Mallorca and later finished in Paris. Evoking a distinctly Meditteranean ethos, the elegiac number sees the duo interplay feelings of unreciprocated longing.
In 2019, Richardson made her major label debut with acclaimed EP ‘DOLMA’. Since then, Richardson has opted for the autonomous route, living between Barcelona and Los Angeles, where she developed an interest in fashion, collaborating with brands such as Calvin Klein, Bvlgari, and Brunello Cucinelli.
Richardson is riding a new creative wave this year which will see her release her first studio album, featuring contributions from OfMan, Pierre Rousseau, and Raul Refree, among others.
