Take two thirds of one celebrated Welsh act and add in a refugee from another acclaimed band and what do you get?
After McLusky imploded Andy Falkous simply picked himself up, recruited a member of Jarcrew and continued making music. The new group is called Future Of The Left, a band whose live show has become almost as legendary as their predecessor’s.
Future Of The Left were forced to abandon a series of dates earlier this year, however, as album plans began to interfere with their schedule. Left with too little material and not enough time to write some in, the band cancelled a number of British shows in order to proceed with writing sessions.
Debut album ‘Curses’ was released to great acclaim in 2007. A relentless blast of rock energy, it more than matched the illustrious legacy of McLusky and Jarcrew. Containing some of the musicians’ most brutal material to date, it added light to the dark with oddball material such as the piano led ditty ‘The Contrarian’.
The group have now finished the follow up, which will be titled ‘Travels With Myself And Another’. Fans have already heard one track from the album, with single ‘The Hope That House Built’ available now.
