UK dance act Future Loop Foundation have stunned fans by announcing that their forthcoming gig at The Soho Screening Rooms on September 25th will be their last.
A vehicle for the innovative imagination of Mark Barrott, Future Loop Foundation were on hold for almost a decade before breaking their cover with this year’s celebrated album “The Fading Room: Memories And Pictures”. A beautiful album, the work began after Barrott found a series of interviews conducted with family members some time ago.
The elegiac quality of the album charmed many, including the oppressed workers in the Clash office who played their copy almost literally to death. Accompanied by an album of remixes by such talents as Tunng, The Go! Team, Rob Da Bank and many more, “The Fading Room: Memories And Pictures” is fascinating and thought provoking album.
Fans wishing to hear the material live, however, had best be quick. The forthcoming date will feature visuals provided by Jim Myogenic, as Barrott expands on the samples used by interspersing them with actual footage of his family. Set to be a stunning autobiographical affair, this looks like a show not be missed.
Future Loop Foundation is set to play the following date:
