Future Husband’s ‘Terra’ Is A Love Letter To The Planet

The band return with an ode to nature, preservation and togetherness.

Dutch quartet Future Husband have shared their first release of 2024, the single ‘Terra’.

‘Terra’, the group’s first release since last year’s standalone number ‘Good Company‘, was recorded at a makeshift, camp-style studio in the Netherlands. ‘Terra’ is earthy escapism through buoyant psych-funk, the band’s craftsmanship coming through in the ebullient piano tones, drum programming and RnB-laced harmonies.

Of the single, the group share: “’Terra’ is a love letter to the planet. The recording process, especially with the drums, took some extra care. We knew the rhythm had to be perfect to carry the energy of the track, but it took a bit of experimentation to get it exactly where we wanted. After some long sessions and fine-tuning, the groove finally clicked, and it brought the whole song together. That extra effort gave the track its pulse, and we’re proud of how it turned out.”

The four-piece – comprising Adura Sulaiman, Ivar Otten, Kike Zwagerman, and Gino Burageviwere – were brought together by their enduring friendships and a shared passion for creating invigorating, feel-good songs. A decade since their inception, Future Husband have performed all over the world, including Best Kept Secret and the Noorderslag festival, whilst also making their Peckham Audio debut in London.
