Future And Gunna Seem To Be Beefing

And they're releasing on the same day...

Future and Gunna seem destined to collide this weekend – they’re releasing on the same day.

Rap beef seems to be the order of the day in North America right now, with Kendrick Lamar and Drake’s epic clash including guest appearances from Metro Boomin, Rick Ross, A$AP Rocky, and more.

Next up, two icons of Southern rap seem to be colliding. Future is slated to drop a new mixtape on Friday (May 10th), and it just so happens to be the same day that Gunna is releasing.

In a tweet, Future – who appeared on the album that spawned the Kendrick vs Drake war – wrote: “fuck yo album shit ain’t slappin like my mixtape…”

In turn, Gunna wrote: “Fuc what these boys talking about…”

The two actually go back a long way. Frequent collaborators, they first aligned on Future’s ‘Money’ Train’, and were working together as recently as 2022. Reports of a plea deal for Gunna soured the friendship, however, with Future withdrawing support for the rapper’s Offset switch-up ‘Prada Dem’.

So, if another clash on the cards? Stay tuned.

Curiously, Future appeared on the track that signalled the beginning of the beef between Kendrick Lamar and Drake – it was K Dot’s words on Future and Metro Boomin’s ‘Like That’ which officially kicked it all off. After this, though, Future seemed to take a back seat – did he have plans of his own? Guess we find out on Friday / May 10th.
