Frightened Rabbit have unveiled the video for 'Backyard Skulls'.
Heady times for Frightened Rabbit. Now at home on Atlantic, the band released their new album 'Pedestrian Verse' to overwhelming critical praise earlier this month.
A beautiful, at times bracing, listen, 'Pedestrian Verse' became the group's first Top Ten album to date. An historic achievement, one that will be toasted with a new EP.
Stripped from the album, Frightened Rabbit are set to strip 'Backyard Skulls' from their recent LP. Expanded to an EP, 'Backyard Skulls' will be given a standalone release on March 24th.
A quote from Scott Hutchison: "This song takes the idea of skeletons in the closet a step further. It was inspired by a novel by the Scottish writer Chris Brookmyre, in which bodies are discovered using aerial photography. The song itself is one of the starkest contrasts between bright pop and darkness that we've ever written."
