Scottish indie-folk types Frightened Rabbit are set to release their new single ‘Living In Colour’ on June 14th.
Returning with their third album earlier this year, Frightened Rabbit seem to have become a far more serious proposition. The cult success of ‘The Midnight Organ Fight’ has given way to widespread acclaim for their new album.
Swapping intensely personal polemics for anthemic songwriting, Frightened Rabbit have flirted with the mainstream. New single ‘Living In Colour’ is one of the highlights of their new album, and comes as the band prepare to a busy summer.
A stunning live act, Frightened Rabbit have confirmed their involvement at this year’s Glastonbury. Set to tread the boards at Worthy Farm, the Scottish indie-folk stars are also set to play a massive date in Glasgow.
Snow Patrol have confirmed an enormous date at Bellahouston Park, with support from Band Of Horses and Frightened Rabbit. The band’s biggest live outing to date, the group are currently biding their time after a Stateside tour was cancelled.
A volcano in Iceland has caused huge disruption to the European transport network, with Frightened Rabbit unable to travel to the United States.
The band are waiting by the airport, writing on Twitter: “So Dallas and Houston are looking unlikely folks. Atlanta is our next target. New ash cloud means no London airports will be open today.”
Meanwhile, Frightened Rabbit also claimed: “irrespective of the dust cloud, we should ALWAYS travel to the US on a cruise ship. We could play some dinner shows on the way over!”
