Friendly Fires Play Fundraising Gig In Memory Of Friend

Erol Alkan, Cheatahs & more also appear...

Friendly Fires are hosting a fundraising event at London's XOYO on December 12th in memory of their friend Adam Connolly.

The event is set to feature live performances from Friendly Fires, Cheatahs and some as yet disclosed special guests. There'll also be DJ sets from Erol Alkan and The Horrors amongst others.

The organisers of the event have released the following statement outlining their intentions:

"The friends and family of Adam Connolly, who tragically took his own life on 14th November, have joined together to organise a party on Wednesday 12th December to celebrate his life and to raise awareness and funds to prevent suicide among young men.

Perhaps it sounds a tad predictable in these kind of circumstances but we wanted to do something that celebrates Adam's life, his amazing creativity, and his beautiful warm, kind soul as well as showing how much we deeply love and miss him.

The evening of the 12th is our way of sharing a little bit of happiness around recent events by picking out some music by a selection of bands and DJ's that mean something to Adam in one way or another.

I really hope you can make it along."

Tickets are available HERE, with all proceeds going to an appropriate charity chosen by Adam's parents.
