Out-there jazz oddballs Polar Bear have compiled an usual new mixtape to celebrate their new album.

Jazz is a continually evolving art form. Always expanding to break past musical barriers, jazz is one of the most enduring musical forms. Merging jazz with funk, punk and more Polar Bear are among Britain’s most respected jazz acts.

Led by Seb Rochford, Polar Bear are plotting to release their new album ‘Peepers’ next week (March 1st). Perhaps the band’s finest effort to date it shows the group maturing without losing their early charm.

Merging jazz with funk, rock and more the album is at times even dancefloor friendly – depending on how open minded your club is.

Compiling a new mixtape, Seb Rochford has revealed some of the band’s most hidden influences. Containing Mos Def, Buraka Som Sistema, Harmonic 313, Lightning Bolt and the Noisettes the free download mash up also contains plenty of left field hip hop.

An eye opening experience, you can see the full tracklisting and download the mix for free from HERE.
