AIDs awareness event Freddie For A Day is set to return later this year – and you can be involved.
A rock icon, Freddie Mercury broke barriers. Queen’s legendary frontman, the singer won the affection of millions around the globe before sadly dying of an AIDs related illness in 1991.
Kickstarted last year, Freddie For A Day asks fans to show their affection by impersonating the rock icon. Taking place on September 3rd – the singer’s birthday – you will be invited to don your Queen finery for a day dedicated to Freddie Mercury.
The ultimate aim is charitable – Freddie For A Day want to raise money for the Mercury Phoenix Trust, an AIDS charity set up by Queen after Freddie’s death.
On September 3rd the charity will host a memorable night at the Savoy, with a host of big names set to take part. Of course, this isn’t just about celebrities – fans up and down the country will be taking part.
Just take a look at this crazy gang!
