Franz Ferdinand Discuss Fourth Album

Todd Terje, Bjorn Yttling to appear...

Franz Ferdinand have opened up about their forthcoming album 'Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action'.

Franz Ferdinand have made so secret of their plans to record a new album. Working in various locations, the band have spent the past 12 months tinkering with new material, exploring new directions.

The results will be released this summer. New album 'Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action' will be released through Domino, and the band recently opened up about some of the collaborations on the album.

Speaking to the NME, the group revealed that Todd Terje makes a guest appearance on the album. Veronica Falls singer Roxanne Clifford also contributes vocals, while Bjorn Yttling of Peter, Bjorn and John also helped out during the recording process.

"When we were first writing the LP, I met up with Bjorn in Newcastle" Alex Kapranos said. "We were talking about recording, and he asked what we wanted to sound like. I said, 'I want to sound like Franz Ferdinand,' then he said, 'Oh, a cross between Dr Feelgood and Daft Punk?' And I thought, 'I like this guy – he gets it. We should record with him.'"

'Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action' is set to be released on August 26th. Tracklisting:

'Right Action'
'Evil Eye'
'Love Illumination'
'Stand On The Horizon'
'Fresh Strawberries'
