The 9th annual Tartan Clef awards took place on Saturday night (November 24th) in aid of the Nordoff-Robbins trust. Held in Glasgow’s Old Fruitmarket the event has grown to become an unofficial Scottish Music Awards. This year’s event was the biggest yet with Franz Ferdinand, Biffy Clyro and Idlewild (amongst many others) honoured by the trust.
Franz Ferdinand won the Optical Express Tartan Clef award, and were quick to pay tribute to the trust saying “it’s a great charity and as musicians it’s close to our hearts”.
The event was a huge success, raising £144,000 for the Nordoff-Robbins trust. Click here to see what we made of it.
