Frankie Rose Returns

"There is no fuzz on this record"

Frankie Rose is set to release her new album ‘Interstellar’ through Memphis Industries on March 19th.

The current glut of indie pop outfits from Williamsburg has produced plenty of fine music. However the sheer volume of polka dot wearing, rickety girl groups leave a sense of ennui, with an itchy trigger finger often heading towards the ‘stop’ button.

However Frankie Rose is slightly different. Originally a drummer, the songwriter passed through numerous Brooklyn outfits before eventually forming her own.

Frankie Rose & The Outs released their striking debut album in 2010, seeming to define the whole Spector + feedback schtick down to a tee. Now the songwriter is set to swap the ramshackle harmonies of her debut for something more glamorous.

Signed to Memphis Industries, Frankie Rose will release ‘Interstellar’ on March 19th. Little has been heard from the album, although the Brooklyn artist did give away this quote:

“I always have a big picture in mind. I knew I wanted a HUGE sounding record. Big highs, big lows, and clean. There is no fuzz on this record”.

Alongside this quote Frankie Rose has helpfully provided the full tracklisting for ‘Interstellar’. Set to be released on March 19th, let the intrigue begin…

2 Know Me
3 Gospel/Grace
4 Daylight Sky
5 Pair of Wings
6 Had We Had It

8 Apples for the Sun
