Electronic producer Four Tet is set to release new remix 12 inch ‘Angel Echoes’ on July 19th.
Real name Kieran Hebden, Four Tet is one of the most influential producers in the UK. Yet even Four Tet can stand to learn a thing or two, as evidenced by his recent residency at the Village Underground.
Performing a regular DJ set, the producer began drawing on elements of the dubstep scene. A split 12 inch with Burial saw Four Tet engage a new style, which helped to informed his latest album.
‘There Is Love In You’ may well rank as one of Four Tet’s most impressive releases, with the album gaining critical plaudits. Amongst the most impressive electronic albums of the year so far, the album has already spawned the single ‘Sing’.
Now Four Tet has turned his material over to two close friends to work on. ‘Angel Echoes’ was a highlight of the cent album and now Kieran Hebden has decided to allow Caribou and Jon Hopkins to remix the track.
Available as a 12 inch from July 19th, the release features two extremely varied takes on his material.
The release comes as Four Tet gears up for a busy summer. A bank holiday show on May 30th sees the producer team up with UK Funky don Roska for a return date at London’s Village Underground.
Moving forward to the festival season, Four Tet is due to play dates at Parklife, Body & Soul, Glastonbury, T In The Park and more. Due to travel across Europe, the producer will mix live shows with his DJ sets.
