Red Hot Chili Peppers axeman John Frusciante has joined forces with former Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr on his new solo album, it has been announced.
The ever prolific Frusciante has seen the Red Hot Chili Peppers recent announcement that they are to go on hiatus as a good excuse for a solo album. Titled ‘The Empyrean’, it is set to be released in the United States on January 20th, reports Billboard.
Workaholic John Frusciante has released nine solo albums prior to this. ‘The Empyrean’ will feature Marr alongside Chili Peppers bass player Flea.
Johnny Marr has been busy of late collaborating with indie giants The Cribs and giving a lecture to the University Of Salford.
John Frusciante will release solo album ‘The Empyrean’ on January 20th in the US.
