With the parent band on hiatus for a while, Foo Fighters’ Chris Shiflett is set to embark on a massive tour with his new project Jackson United.
Guitarist Chris Shiflett has taken the lead role in new band Jackson United, writing all of the songs and singing vocals. Although he has moved away from his role in the Foo Fighters, members of the band still appear on the new album, with Dave Grohl and Taylor Hawkins sharing drum duties.
In a new interview Shiflett explains “they play drums between the two of them on the new record. They’re both such ridiculous drummers that they just listen to the song and play it the right way and it’s better than anything you could’ve thought of. There wasn’t a whole lot of instruction involved.”
“This is definitely as diametrically opposed to the Foo Fighters as I think you could possibly be. You’re playing to like 100 people in a bar and they don’t know who the fuck you are. You gotta earn it.”
Jackson United release their new album ‘Harmony And Dissidence’ on November 3rd.
