Foo Fighters are planning to release their new single ‘Arlandria’ on October 5th.
It may not have been the warmest on record, but this summer has belonged to one band. Returning with their new album ‘Wasting Light’ Foo Fighters have entertained countless thousands around the country.
Playing two epic shows at the Milton Keynes Bowl, the band followed this by headlining T In The Park. Throw in a free show at the Roundhouse courtesy of the iTunes Festival and you have some spectacular concerts.
Yet the grandeur of the live show belies the DIY approach the band had on the album. Hooking up with Butch Vig, Foo Fighters recorded ‘Wasting Light’ entirely in Dave Grohl’s garage, on analog tape.
Reaching number one in the UK, the United States and more the album eventually hit pole position in more than ten different countries.
Pushed to Platinum status by ceaseless touring, ‘Wasting Light’ is now set to spawn a new single. Stripped from the album, ‘Arlandria’ is due to be given a new lease of life as a single from September 5th.
Roswell/Sony Music will handle the release, with details of any potential new video forthcoming. So to tide you over, here’s the Foo Fighters garage tour documentary in its entirety…
