Foo Fighters did indeed play London's Moth Club on Friday night (August 16th).
The band sparked speculation among fans, with rumours of a 'special guest' at the London venue sending them scurrying for tickets.
Shortly after 9pm Dave Grohl took to the stage for their smallest London show in a helluva long time, playing some Foo Fighters classics.
Playing a quickfire five song set, he dropped in perennial fan favourite 'Everlong' as an extra special treat.
It didn't stop there, though, with none other than Rick Astley (!) leaping onstage to play drums.
The newly-Christened Foo Astleys had a whale of a time, as you can see below:
