Fontaines D.C. have been named 6Music's Album Of The Year with their debut LP 'Dogrel'.
The record landed earlier this year, and won across the board praise. At the time, Clash writer Susan Hansen praised the LP, stating:
"Authentic, raw and honest, it is eclectic, original and a work of multifaceted expression…"
Following a full station-wide countdown, 6Music have now named 'Dogrel' as their Album Of The Year.
Fontaines D.C. told the station:
"It would mean a lot to win this title any year really, but this year in particular there have been a lot of really great, substantial bodies of work, and so for that reason we’re particularly chuffed. So thank you 6 Music for all the support."
