Flying Lotus has revealed plans to collaborate with Beck, with new material seemingly in the works.
In a way, it was bound to happen. Flying Lotus and Beck are both frequent collaborators, hurling themselves into numerous inventive projects.
So it was a mathematical certainty that their paths would cross at some point. Chatting to DrownedinSound recently (via FACT), Flying Lotus revealed that he recently entered the studio with the maverick songwriter.
“He hit me up after the last record and wanted to do something,” the producer told the British website. “It sounds like Can but fucked up. It’s really quite dark.”
Fancy getting your hands on the collaboration? So do we, but it doesn’t look as if the track has an official release date. Continuing, Flying Lotus told DiS that the song “is just fucking sat there on my hard drive waiting for when the time is right”.
