Flume Launches New Album ‘Palaces’

It's out on May 20th...

Australian producer Flume has laid out plans for new album 'Palaces'.

The Grammy winning producer kicked off sessions in Los Angeles at the start of the pandemic, before soon reaching an impasse.

Relocating to a coastal town in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales, the change in setting seemed to unleash something in his creativity.

Becoming fascinated with nature, these themes perforate his new work, and become a key aspect of the visuals.

'Palaces' is out on May 20th, and includes appearances from Damon Albarn, Caroline Polachek, Oklou, and more.

New song 'Say Nothin' is online now, and it boasts a studio link up with MAY-A. Flume comments:

"This song is about feelings of post relationship clarity. We wrote the song midway through 2020 while the pandemic was still pretty new. I was really excited about the initial idea but it was only once I got back to Australia in early 2021 and linked up in the studio with MAY-A that the song really came to life."

"Working with Flume on ‘Say Nothing’ has been a really incredible experience,” MAY-A says. “I'm such a big fan of Harley’s so it’s unbelievable to be in a position to create music with someone I look up to and can learn so much from. His creative process is a really inspiring thing to be a part of. I’m so excited for everyone to hear the song!"

Tune in now.
