Florence & The Machine have recorded a cover of Ben E. King's soul classic 'Stand By Me'.
The track will appear on the soundtrack of Final Fantasy XV, which is due to be released on September 30th.
A new trailer has emerged, featuring Florence Welch's vocals in amongst the action. The clip also features work from famed video game composer icon Yoko Shimomura.
“I’ve always seen Final Fantasy as mythical, beautiful and epic,” said Florence Welch in a statement. “‘Stand by Me’ is one of the greatest songs probably of all time and you can’t really improve on it, you just have to make it your own. For me it was just about bringing the song into the world of Florence and the Machine and the world of Final Fantasy.”
