Fleet Foxes – The Shrine / An Argument Video

Full clip emerges

The full eight minute animated video for ‘The Shrine / An Argument’ by Fleet Foxes has emerged online.

Returning with their second album ‘Helplessness Blues’ earlier this year, Fleet Foxes were clearly in a confident mood. The record contained some of their most ambitious material yet, with centrepiece ‘The Shrine / An Argument’ stretching out to some eight minutes.

Always intrigued by other creative outlets, Fleet Foxes recently commissioned an animated film to accompany ‘The Shrine / An Argument’. Sean Pecknold began crafting a video to match the track, maintaining a partnership which stretches back to the evocative trailer for ‘White Winter Hymnal’.

Streaming a 30 second clip on his Vimeo page, the full video for ‘The Shrine / An Argument’ has now emerged. A fairly breath-taking achievement in its own right, the eight minute short film links in perfectly with the dynamics of the material but has a distinct identity.
