Fleet Foxes Share Early Rarity ‘Icicle Tusk’

It appears on 'First Collection 2006 – 2009'...

Fleet Foxes have shared early rarity 'Icicle Tusk' – tune in now.

There's something about Fleet Foxes and Autumn which goes together perfectly; that slight dip in the temperature, the curling of the leaves, forever leads us back to their gilded debut.

Incoming compilation 'First Collection 2006 – 2009' gathers some of the band's earliest releases, including their ultra-rare debut EP 'The Fleet Foxes'.

Home recorded and hand-pressed, the band then took it round local record shops and radio stations, desperate to find their break.

Music of this fine vintage isn't to be contained, though, and what happened next is already legend, with word of mouth hype transforming them into the most unlikely of success stories.

'Icicle Tusk' appears on that debut EP and it's a frosted piece of indie folk, those close harmonies moving together in lush unison.

With that xylophone counter melody adding a touch of innocence, it's a warm, infectious slice of songwriting. Tune in now.

'First Collection 2006 – 2009' will be released on November 9th.
