A new photo on Google Streetview appears to show The Flaming Lips singer Wayne Coyne in the bath.
Wayne Coyne is one of life’s eccentrics. Frequently performing onstage with tellytubbies, his group The Flaming Lips have moved from avant garde origins to the mainstream – and back again.
Recently the band decided to record the Pink Floyd masterpiece ‘Dark Side Of The Moon’ releasing the results on New Year’s Eve. The Flaming Lips played a special show in their hometown of Oklahoma to celebrate, ringing in the bells in some style.
Set to take a break after releasing last year’s experimental album ‘Embryonic’ the band appear to have been caught on Google Streetview.
According to fans you can see singer Wayne Coyne in the bath on one photo on the Google service. The image of the frontman emerging from the bath is tagged with a message saying “blob in the bath”.
However don’t go expecting nude pictures of The Flaming Lips anytime soon. Coyne is fully clothed, with fans on the band’s official forum confirming that the photo is indeed of the Oklahoma musician.
The singer had previously posted the photo on his MySpace page, with a note claiming that the bath was set up by Coyne and his wife Michelle for a Halloween party in 2007.
This isn’t the only musician caught by Google Streetview. Last year fans claimed that Liam Gallagher could be spotted outside a bar in Camden, however this was denied by the one time Oasis singer.
