It's that time of year again.
The Barclaycard Mercury Prize always gets fans talking, with the panel due to sit down and declare the best British (and Irish) album of 2014.
The shortlist is - once more - extremely diverse. Much hyped newcomers Jungle are present alongside stellar rock duo Royal Blood, while Big Dada supported hip hop auteurs Young Fathers have also received the nod.
With fellow nominees including electronic producer East India Youth, spoken word artist Kate Tempest and avant jazz futurists GoGoPenguin, it's going to be a touch decision for the Mercury jury.
Bookmakers William Hill, though, confidently place FKA twigs out front with her stunning debut album. "FKA twigs seems to have all the momentum both in the recording studio and on the street – but it remains to be seen if her new boyfriend will be a help or a hindrance with the judging panel," said William Hill spokesman Rupert Adams.
Well, given that it's an album-based competition you'd rather hope her choice of boyfriend had nothing to do with it.
We shall find out on Wednesday (October 29th) when the Barclaycard Mercury Prize winner 2014 is announced!
