Fixers are set to release their ‘Imperial Goddess of Mercy’ EP on December 5th.
Hailing from Oxford, Fixers have sparked immense discussion in a short time. The band’s gentle blend of whimsical psychedelia and electronics have caused comparisons with Animal Collective and the Beach Boys.
However the band’s fey postures have caused no end of detractors to emerge from the woodwork. Working quietly on new material, Fixers are now in the position to release a follow up EP.
Titled ‘Imperial Goddess of Mercy’ the forthcoming EP is set to drop on December 5th. An ambition return, the material veers from four part harmonies to blissed out Afrobeat grooves via echo drenched synths and even sleigh bells.
Perhaps the most linear track on the new EP, ‘Trans Love’ showcases the band’s love of the Beach Boys. A straight forward pop song with a twist, Fixers have decided to give it away as an mp3 in the run up to the release of their new EP.
Available on their Facebook page, you can download ‘Trans Love’ HERE.
Alongside the forthcoming EP, Fixers have prepared a full UK tour. The dates open with a show in SWN Festival, playing a show in Cardiff. Moving forward, the band will mix headline shows with a date at London’s Freeze Festival.
Hitting London on November 1st, the band will play a one off show at the Hoxton Bar & Kitchen. Returning to Oxford on November 11th, the dates finish with appearances in St Albans, Sunderland and Coventry.
