New York electro-pop group Fischerspooner have split up.
The band emerged from the electroclash era, a time when club kids in New York and London began to dress up a little bit more.
Exploding gender and sexual roles in club culture, the group reached back into New York's disco heritage to produce something remarkably, and more than a little filthy.
After the hype receded the duo took a decade off, before returning with 2018's Michael Stipe produced album 'Sir'.
Sadly, it's to be their last. In a final Instagram post Fischerspooner confirmed that they were, in fact, "dead…"
RIP, Fischerspooner.
