Canadian band Arcade Fire will begin recording the soundtrack to “Donnie Darko” director Ruchard Kelly’s new film shortly, it has been reported.
In a statement published on his website, producer Markus Dravs – who also recorded Coldplay’s new album – revealed the plans. The upcoming film is titled “The Box” and will star Cameron Diaz and James Marsden.
It’s not known whether the soundtrack work will include a few Arcade Fire songs or whether they will score the entire film a la Prince’s “Batman” project.
The film is currently in the editing stage, with a provisional release date of later in the year.
