Organisers of this year’s Field Day Festival have announced the first acts on the bill for this year’s event, as well as early bird tickets being made available.
The festival will take place at Victoria Park in London this August, with a selection of leftfield talent announced already, including Scottish noiseniks Mogwai, Erol Alkan, Errors and Fennesz (the recent album review for which can be read HERE).
The one-day indie extravaganza is ideal for those adverse to four days of warding off trench-foot and eating mud balls. With its own Village Green Fetes and the new addition of a carrot eating contest in 2009 – which you can now apply to take part in HERE, along with the annual sack racing contest, Field Day looks set to be as kooky as ever.
Field Day will take place on the 1st August .
