Ferdous Shares Glowing Single ‘Mountain Snow’

"This was my way of trying to breathe new life into myself..."

Amsterdam producer Ferdous has shared new single ‘Mountain Snow’.

Out now, the track opens a new year for the electronic maverick, which is slated to release a full EP next month. The release broadens his scope, with Ferdous using his latest single as a means to grapple with confidence.

Shot through with light, his beatific digitalism carries a weighty optimism, with Ferdous yearning to look towards brighter days. As he puts it: “this was my way of trying to breathe new life into myself, to try and break free from the crippling lethargy I had been dealing with for so long. It was really fulfilling to capture this state of mind for myself, even if for other people it might just be a nice dance pop song.”

The visualiser is simple but strikingly effective, pairing Ferdous’ music to the central image of a clocktower, built by 3D art director Niko Zelenik. The producer notes:

“I started noticing, that to me, this song is about being in a constant state of heartbreak; so that’s how the idea of time and consequently the clocktower came to be. The snowy surroundings and atmosphere are not only an obvious nod to the title, but also to the icy, swirling production of the song.”

Tune in now.
