The 15th annual Nobel Peace Prize is set to take place on December 11th in Oslo, and will feature Canadian singer Feist, it has been announced.
The event will take place in Norway and is set to be hosted by Hollywood actress Scarlett Johansson. The 15th annual event will be held the day after the Nobel Peace Prize is given out.
This year’s recipient of the famous award is Martti Ahtisaari, the former president of Finland, for his work in international diplomacy. A statement from the Norwegian Nobel Committee said:
“We’re extremely pleased Ms. Johansson will join us for the Nobel Peace Prize Concert. Her compassion and influence will help us tremendously in our mission of spreading the global message of peace.”
Amongst the musical acts to perform at the event will be former Supreme Diana Ross and Canadian singer Feist. Feist has just announced that she is to take a break from the music business, so this will represent one of the last chances to see her perform before she heads out on hiatus.
The Nobel Peace Prize Concert takes place in Oslo, Norway on December 11th.
