Feist To Duet With Wilco

Rumours surround new album

Canadian electro starlet Feist could be set to join alt country group Wilco for a duet on their new album.

Wilco have been stuck in the studio for some time, crafting a follow up to 2007’s celebrated ‘Sky Blue Sky’ album. The ever innovative group have spent over a decade expanding the country formula, asking probing questions of what it means to make American music.

One time Peaches flat Feist could be set to make a guest appearance on the new album. According to American magazine Rolling Stone the singer has been recording a duet with Jeff Tweedy.

“Feist and the dudes in Wilco met at the Grammys last year, and she hit it off with everyone. She’s a Wilco fan, and the guys love her music, so they’ve kept in touch over the past year.”

“Mr. Tweedy is a huge fan of duets, and wanted to work a duet into the new album. Feist was their first call. Everyone who’s heard the song has been ‘blown away’.”

Wilco have been recording the new album since late last year, and according to the report have been making “significant progress” on the as yet un-titled LP.

The band are due to embark on a massive new North American tour shortly.

Wilco are due to release their new album later this year.
