Following two years of parties that have seen Feelings take over some of London's most intriguing and unexpected spots as well as heading further afield with takeovers at Dimensions, Found Festival, Horizon Festival, Farr Festival & more the time felt right for the Feelings family to expand their horizons with the launch of their record label, Feelings Worldwide. The label will see releases from some of the pioneers of the dance music scene paired alongside exciting new artists who carry that same torch onwards in homage to the founding forces. The label is a logical and timely progression and you can expect to see continuity between the impeccable live curation also reflected in upcoming releases.
For the labels first release (FLING001) Feelings Worldwide have enlisted Iranian born, London-based producer Kasra V, delivering an incredible slice of middle-eastern inspired house 'The Window'. On the A-side the first cut is an early 90's inspired dance floor thumper 'Fantasy' with a frenetic tribal house feel you could imagine rolling out of the speakers at a Dreamscape party, followed by the ehtereal and dreamy 'Pris' – a sunrise break that sits as polar contrast to the 2am madness of 'Fantasy'.
On the Flip side you will find 'Myth' a steady piano-led builder inspired and written in the style of southern Iranian tribal music enfused with rhythm to match, followed by a remix of the same track from legendary NYC producer Cozmo D under his Dream 2 Science alias bringing a straighter dancefloor banger take on 'Myth' with the heavy deep house flavours that his own D2S project is lauded for.
Naturally, in true Feelings spirit there is no better way to mark this milestone than by throwing an epic party. Friday December 11th at Brixton Jamm with full Feelings crew on rolecall. Kasra V, The Menendez Brothers, Brian Summers & DJ Karl Karlson, DJ Friendly, plus very special guests Francis Inferno Orchestra, Dan Beaumont and Sista Sista.
