Faye Webster will release new album ‘Underdressed At The Symphony’ on March 1st.
The new album was constructed at Sonic Ranch Studios in Texas, with Faye Webster joined by her long-time band. Pushing herself further than ever before, huge emphasis is placed on the lyric sheet – with Faye truly leaving her emotions on tape.
“I think I hit a point in songwriting during this record where I was just like, man, I said a lot,” she says in a press note. “The record feels like a mouthful to me, but I don’t always have to be deep. I can just sit down and sing about this ring made of crystal Lego that I really want.”
Out on March 1st, the record is led by new song ‘Lego Ring’ – hugely intriguing, the dream-like sonics bounce off a feature from Lil Yachty. A curveball, but it works perfectly.
The video was directed by Kyle Ng of Braindead Studios, and opens with Faye Webster and Lil Yachty playing a video game. In a neat twist, you can actually play the game yourselves – it’s launched online.
