New politically-inclined track leads out next album...
'Pure Comedy'

Father John Misty has shared new track ‘Pure Comedy’.

The songwriter returns with a witheringly sarcastic ode to the political process, and the visuals are directly informed by the recent American election.

Directed by Matthew Daniel Siskin, the video ranges from birth, death, Obama’s departure, Trump’s victory and alt-right symbol Pepe the frog.

As if that wasn’t enough…

When fans Shazam’d the new track the service unveiled the artwork up top, while a cached merchandise page indicates that Father John Misty’s new album will be called ‘Pure Comedy’, and is set to be released on March 31st. More on this when it is confirmed.

For now, enjoy Josh Tillman’s new track...
