Math rock group Battles are set to return to the UK soon with a sold out show at London’s Astoria, with some other UK dates just announced.
The group formed from the ashes of the original Don Cabellero – one of the first groups to play the style of music that came to be labeled ‘math rock’. Their landmark debut album “Mirrored” was one of the finest albums released last year, and established the group as one of the best to emerge from the American Underground in recent years.
An incendiary live act, Battles are set to play their sold out Astoria show before heading down to Minehead to play the next All Tomorrow’s Parties event. Support at the Astoria comes from Dirty Projectors and Fuck Buttons.
Battles are set to play the following dates this summer:
May 14th – London, Astoria (Sold Out)
May 17th / 18th – All Tomorrow’s Parties, Minehead (Sold Out)
June 28th – Glastonbury
July 5th – Knewbworth Park, Nr London
