FaltyDL Launches New Album ‘In The Wake Of Wolves’

It's out on June 2nd...

FaltyDL has laid out plans for new album ‘In The Wake Of Wolves’.

The producer has released music on some truly seminal labels, connecting with like-minds in the process. His next trick? Well, he’s heading to Sheffield – joining forces with Central Processing Unit, in fact.

Out on June 2nd, new album ‘In The Wake Of Wolves’ is his first in two years, and it finds FaltyDL fully embracing eclecticism. Crossing genre lines, he moves from the opaque and dulcet through to frenetic bursts of groundbreaking electronics.

Dipping into his core influences, FaltyDL comments…

“It came to me in a revelation after rediscovering classic Squarepusher cuts like ‘Theme From Ernest Borgnine’ and ‘Tundra.’ Songs from my youth. It came together really quickly in the studio with lots of send FX automation and general pulverization on the master channel. Fuck it up! Play with the excess area over %100 wet on FX and manipulate the feedback. That’s what Squarepusher told me when we met in 2015…”

Out now, new song ‘Minds Protection’ is excellent – the rhythmic chassis purrs with precocious energy, while the layered synths having bright, gleaming glint to them.

An evocative introduction, ‘Minds Protection’ has a crisp, metallic sense of beauty, the chrome-plated electronics guiding you into an optimistic glimpse of the future.
